When it comes to photography it's not always the technically best photos that win, a lot of it is how you treat your clients. When you go above and beyond to serve your clients and meet their needs, the value you offer will become evident.
Every photoshoot you have builds onto your experience and knowledge. We often don't take that into account when trying to figure out what prices we should charge. Your photography experience, new techniques you're learning, courses and workshops you've attended, each of those adds value that you are providing for your clients. That in turn should be reflected in your pricing structure.
When assessing what you should be charging, look at how many photoshoots you'd like to shoot in a year, calculate your cost of doing business and what you need to bring in to support your lifestyle and family, then divide that number by the amount of photoshoots and that should be around your price.
