John shares why you should stop setting goals, but rather set up systems that allow you to continuously grow toward your goals and ever surpass them.
This idea is from the book Atomic Habits by James Clear.

One of the reasons those goals aren't reached is because we have been taught to keep our eye on the prize, keep hustling until we reach the goal.
Until earlier this year, this is how I measured success. Setting and achieving goals. It wasn't until I read the book, Atomic Habits by James Clear that things shifted.
I stopped focusing on goals, and started focusing on the every day systems in place to help me achieve those goals.
Look at areas that you can improve by a small percentage.
Are you spending too much time writing every email, when you could have templates to get you started?
Are you editing every single photo when you could sync settings across a group of photos? or outsource the whole thing?
Are you posting each blog, email, and social media post individually instead of repurposing from one to the others?
By assessing these different areas of your business and improving upon them even just 1% better you could create a snowball effect of change that elevates you and your business to the next level.
This is just one of the many nuggets I took away from James Clear's book Atomic Habits.
I'm sure I'll share more in future episodes, but I highly encourage you to get a copy for yourself.
