The best MCs and public speakers are those who can improvise and don't need to read verbatim off your notes.
Have a few jokes or saying in your pocket, so as you get to that point of the speech you can pull those out even if the road getting there looked different than usual.
After any time that you speak publicly, whether on stage or online, assess who you did. What was working and connecting with your audience? What wasn't?
You need to economize the words you're using. Don't say 3 minutes of stuff when you only really need one to get your point across.
Ask yourself if you remove a certain section of your speech, will the audience still know what you're talking about.
You're going to feel nervous the first few times you speak in front of people. But take those nerves and turn it into excitement in future talks. This won't happen over night.
