164. Curate Your Portfolio to Transform Your Brand with Molly McCauley

Really examine your work when you get bored of what you're shooting. Like when you shoot at the same similar venues, or some colors, or same routine.

When you take the time to curate your work to show more of what you are wanting to do with future clients, it'll begin to attract those clients.

You'll feel more confident in your work, more excited to work, and it'll help clarify your signature style.

 Less is more.
Especially as you move up toward the luxury market, less is more.

Not all of your photos and not every session needs to be out there.

The more aligned your clients are with what you want to photograph, the more they will trust you and allow you to be creative.

Define what your target client wants to see in your portfolio and remove the things that don't align.

Elevate your detail photos, and get a second set of eyes on your portfolio to best curate it.

Use white space wisely. Photos of details, scenery, and other moments without people in them will fill that space and create a more well-rounded selection from the day.
